If you’re in the Discover stage, you may be beginning to find some of the answers you seek as you explore the Christian faith, possibly through life at St. Matthew’s. Maybe it’s the worship experience, maybe it’s a class, maybe it’s a resource or book, maybe it’s a service opportunity, maybe a relationship that’s leading you forward. You may also find that some answers lead to even more questions! But keep plugging away—we believe that there are answers for you that will change your life. Here are some ideas for you as you continue making new discoveries:

Take the time to get to know the Bible. If you don’t have one, we’ll help you find one. Talk to one of our congregational leaders about how to get started. Personal devotional materials such as The Upper Room may be helpful to you. It’s a great way to start your day.
How about a retreat setting! Retreat settings are readily available for youth and adults particularly. They are a great way to meet people and to meet God!
Get to know some of the people around you here at St. Matthew’s. They are probably making some of the same discoveries that you are! They’ll likely invite you to a Sunday school class or other study group to help you along your way.
Take the Monvee online spiritual assessment to help learn what your spiritual “next steps” might be.
Get outside yourself. While making discoveries is important, realize that others are in need around you. You’ll be amazed at what you’ll discover in the grateful gaze of a person you’ve helped.

At this point, celebrate early discoveries and the fact that there are answers to be found.
