Brian grew up in Madison, Mississippi, and considers it to be his hometown. He attended elementary and middle school at Madison Ridgeland Academy and graduated high school from Madison Central. After high school, he attended Holmes Community College then transferred to Mississippi College where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a major in Social Studies. Following college, Brian taught high school Social Studies for four years at Rosa Scott High School and then at Germantown High School for three years.  He also has coached varsity swimming, tennis, and bowling at Germantown High School and Madison Central.

Brian is currently completing his Course of Study program at Candler Theological Seminary in order to maintain his license as an Associate Pastor.

Brian has been a member of St. Matthew's since 2003. He has chaired the Weekday Ministry Board and Co-Chaired the Young Adult Ministry with his wife, Laura Beth.  He has also served as the Youth Minister at St. Matthew's UMC.  He and his wife Laura Beth were married at St. Matthews in 2004 and now have 3 beautiful children, Carter, Fraiser, and Evie Jane.

Brian's areas of ministry are the Board of Trustees, Christian Education, Special Needs Ministry, Evangelism, Outreach, and Partner Ministries.
